If you wish to secure one or more film permits, please write a letter of intent that includes a description of the video or film project, including script or storyboards; location(s) of shoot; times and dates; number of cast and crew; total number of vehicles; what they will be doing, and send to:

The letter should include all pertinent information, i.e.: description of video or film, including script or storyboards; location(s) of shoot; times and dates; number of cast and crew; total of vehicles, and what they will be doing.
INSURANCE
The City of Newark shall be named an additional insured on the Licensee’s comprehensive General Liability Insurance Policy, which shall be written up to a minimum of $2 million in coverage.
Licensee’s insurance coverage shall be primary insurance as respect to the City of Newark, its officers, officials, employees and volunteers. Any insurance or self-insurance maintained by the City of Newark, its officers, officials, employees or volunteers shall be excess of Licensee’s insurance and shall not contribute with it.
Licensee must provide the City of Newark with a copy of the Additional Insured Broad Endorsement Form.
Licensee should maintain Workers Compensation insurance as required by law.

LOCATION FEES
Your film production may be subject to permit and location fees. In place of a permit, a license agreement/contract must be signed. UNIFORMED POLICE SERVICES
The City of Newark Police Department is available to help provide street access, closures and security. We ask that you provide at least 4 business days lead-time prior to day of production.
Please note that film and production companies cannot directly hire police officers, and must communicate and hire through the City of Newark. Officers are not involved in negotiating pay for service of film productions on public property, including city streets.
